The Karnival in Frankfurt 22 Feb 2009

The flags mean the City hall has been "captured" by the Karnival people.

Before it all got started.

Many people just dress up for this.

Then it got started.

The leader of the pack, just behind the police horse escort.

The "Vice president" of the parade pack.

Donuts are big this time of the year.

Some of these floats carry politcal messages.  Not sure what this one was though.

Most of the floats, just chuck sweets out to the people.
